Developed in collaboration with leading performers and educators, the Laskey Protégé Trombone features the iconic Laskey rim and cup shape, inspired by the Laskey Classic Series Trombone Mouthpieces. Every element—cup, throat, and backbore—has been meticulously balanced to provide developing students with a comfortable mouthpiece that produces a colourful and robust tone. Crafted from 360 free-machining brass, the Laskey Protégé Trombone Mouthpiece is finished with a two-tone buffing. This polishes the rim for comfort and flexibility while leaving the body with a beautiful satin finish. Plated through a triple-strike process of copper, silver, and bright silver, the Protégé Trombone Mouthpiece ensures you slide into success.

Similar in feel to a traditional 5G or a Laskey 57MD, the iconic Laskey rim combined with a mid-deep cup allows you to develop your tone, technique, and range with ease and comfort. The Laskey Protégé 5 is a large-bore tenor trombone mouthpiece. 

Protégé 6.5 (Small Shank) 

This model combines the agility of the 6 ½ AL with the free-blowing characteristics of Laskey Trombone Mouthpieces, providing students the opportunity to get the most out of a small- or medium-bore trombone. Whether you are in a concert band or a big band, this versatile mouthpiece allows you to focus on making music without the distraction of a small and uncomfortable rim. The Laskey Protégé 6.5 is a small-bore tenor trombone mouthpiece.
