HARD XYLO/BELL (SBXH)
Perfect for large concert bands or orchestras with rosewood xylophones. Clean, clear, bright sound on both xylo and bells. The handle is arrow straight, very comfortable to hold and similar in flex to rattan. Far superior sound quality and feel than birch handles.
MEDIUM XYLO/BELL (SBXM)
Medium xylophone/soft bell mallet on a medium thickness fiberglass handle with rubber grip. Perfect for small or medium size concert bands or orchestras and for synthetic xylophones (like Keylonù). Clear and clean sound but not as bright and loud as the hard version. On bells these sticks are very warm but still clear enough for small groups. The handle is arrow straight, very comfortable to hold and similar in flex to rattan. Far superior sound quality and feel than birch handles.
SOFT XYLO/BELL (SBXS)
The soft xylo stick has a hard rubber core that has a warm, elegant sound on xylo and a very soft warm sound on bells. Excellent for very small ensembles or if there a numerous students playing bells or xylo simultaneously. The handle is arrow straight, very comfortable to hold and similar in flex to rattan. Far superior sound quality and feel than birch handles.
SMALL BELL (34B) Fiberglass
Our small bell stick on thin fiberglass handles is an excellent choice for students playing on portable practice bell kits. The small ¬æù mallet head and flexible fiberglass handle provide superior sound quality and proper feel in the hand. On heavier steel bells in the ensemble, these sticks are very bright and clear.
LARGE BELL (1B) Fiberglass
Our large bell mallet is a 1ù phenolic mallet head on a thin fiberglass handle. Excellent sound quality and projection on steel bells. Perfect general-purpose bell mallet for a large concert ensembles.
SCHOOL BAND MARIMBA (SBM)
Our School Bandù marimba mallet has a full-bodied, warm sound on marimba but is still clear and articulate. The unwrapped rubber core is the perfect hardness for the entire range of the instrument and because itôs unwrapped, it never wears out. Also an excellent vibe stick. 1 1/8ù rubber ball on 15ù birch handle.
TAM-TAM (SBTT)
The School Band tam-tam stick is an excellent general-purpose mallet for a wide range of tams and gongs. Constructed with a heavy rubber core covered in soft felt and fleece on a slim 3/4ù hickory handle. Speaks fast with a clean attack and an even balance of high and low overtones.
SUSPENDED CYMBAL (SBSC)
The School Band Suspended Cymbal mallets share the same design as our Pro Line SC3 Soft Suspended Cymbal mallets, but on a fiberglass handle instead of rattan. 28 soft flannel discs are tightly stacked over a brass cylinder to create the mallet head. They produce a full-bodied, silky sound on cymbals and are perfect for totally seamless rolls and swells. The stacked flannel design is ultra durable – these mallets only sound better the longer theyôre use.
